A golf champ in the making

Golfer, Sebastian Terblanche, will be playing in the Zululand Open this month.

YOUNG Sebastian Terblanche won the Royal Durban Match Play.

At 15, Sebastian, a pupil at DHS, is the youngest ever to win this competition, beating higher-ranked and more experienced players to take first spot.

A terrier-like determination and focus, coupled with consistently good play over the two days and three rounds, ensured his success.

Sebastian first went to a driving range at four years old and started playing at Royal Durban Golf Club when he was eight years old.

“I’m passionate about golf and now that I have made the Premier League for Royal Durban, and will be playing in the Zululand Open in May, my next target is to make the KZN U17 team,” he said. Sebastian is currently a 3-handicap and represents his school in the A golf team.
