KZN Badminton hosts successful events
The pre-season tournament and Valentine's event at KZN Badminton were a success.
KZN Badminton enjoyed two successful events this month.
Results were: A section: Die Kerels vs Swallows – 3/0; Nemesis vs Untouchables – 3/0; Asian Triplets vs Game Changers – 2/1; Hot Shots vs Jokers – 2/1.
B Section: Border Capers vs Pink Ladies – 2/1; Spectrum vs Pelicans – 3/0; Pimp My Racket Mafia vs Invitation B – 3/0; Ninja’s vs Sisters – 2/1.
C Section: Voodoo vs Dragons – 3/0; Oddballs vs Eagles – 3/0; Smitheroonies vs Rotators – 2/1.
The Valentine’s fun tournament drew more than 40 entries and everyone had a great day.
Results were: Ladies’ section: 4th place – Bethany Niemandt and Penny Riley; 3rd place – Debbie and Fiona Beru; 2nd place – Lynette White and Jhanvi Januk; winners – Kelsey Wilson and Akaila Maharaj.
Men’s section: 4th place – Quinton Luyt and Reece Wannenburg; 3rd place – Shoreek Sheoratan and Ivan Podmore; 2nd place – Bonnie Diamond and Rob Luyt; winners – Willie Stokes and Nischay Jairaj.
