Glenwood Prep reaches cricket final
Glenwood Prep's first team made it through to the finals of the Virginia 6-a-side tournament.
GLENWOOD Preparatory School participated in the recent Virginia 6-A-Side Tournament.
Sixteen top cricketing schools competed in this prestigious tournament, and the teams were incorporated into four pools of four teams each. Glenwood Prep’s side won their section, which included Clifton Prep, Virginia Prep and Crawford La Lucia.
In the semi-finals the Glenwood team overcame a spirited Chelsea Prep challenge.
In a closely-contested final, Highbury Prep’s 1st XI emerged as winners, achieving the target with three balls to spare.
It was the first time that Glenwood Prep has made it to the final of this tournament, and the boys can be proud of their efforts.
