Children’s home benefits from Golf Day

THE Child in You Foundation held a charity golf day at Windsor Park last Friday to raise funds for an orphanage in Sydenham.

Bianca Kru of the Child in You Foundation, said the golf day was the first of its kind for the organisation. “This month we have chose to donate the proceeds to St Philomenas Orphanage for girls. We received an awesome response for our first big charity event and raised R10 000.”

Child in You Foundation, is made up of a group of business professionals who get together to raise funds and show support to a nominated orphanage of the month., St Philomena's orphanage for girls is a home for girls aged from 6 years to 18 years and is based in Sydenham. All the funds raised to enter the Golf Day and make contributions will be donated directly to the orphanage.
