BEREA BC

RESULTS of the Dirks Meat Ladies Fours played on 19 November: 1st prize: R Theron, E Ray, B Celine and B van der Berg with 4+13; 1st session: Estelle Hughes, Hettie Howard, Karin Schneider and Joy Danre with 2+13; 2nd session: Wyn Wykerd, Jeanette Hinchcliffe, Moira Moody and Val Field with 2+6.

Results of the Chicken Run played on 19 November: winners: Nick Baker, Dave Iverson and Willie Wanless with +15; runners up: Jim Cormac, George Anderson and Jim Aitken with +12; the raffle was won by Aubrey Masson.

Everyone was a winner when more than 100 players from the Glenwood community went to the Berea Bowling Club to play Retro Bowls on Saturday, coached by willing BBC members. A great time was had by all.

THE following office bearers were elected at the AGM: President M.Hean, vice-president members J Connellan, vice-president estates M Look, treasurer T Harvey, secretary A Black, competition secretary for women C van der Merwe, competition secretary for men D Hean, club captain for women, D Kruger, club captain for men R Davids.

Saturdays sponsored POP’s Printers and The Anchorage Umbilo Road winners: Ron Davids, Geoff Atkins and Glen Dorrofield.

Cedar Falls Spur Southway Mall sponsored Drawn Trips won by Clive Du Plooy, Tony Fourie and Beth Dewar 4+20, 1st session Mike Berry, Rob Elsworth and Charmain Buck 2+12, Dirks Meats Davenport sponsored 2nd session Sterling Vermaak and Mervyn Henchliffe 2+4.

Upcoming events: Friday mufti bowls at 4pm, all welcome, followed by club draw at 6pm. Saturday all day Warwick 9’s, please note no tabs in.
