THE SPAR women's 5/10km race saw athletes and ordinary women and some confused men participate in South Africa's most beautiful race on Sunday morning.

Excitement mounted at the start of both the 5km and 10km race starts as friends, family and colleagues participated in the fun walk/run and continued throughout the scenic Durban beachfront race route despite the very windy weather conditions. Durban's very own idol, Khaya Mthethwa

Lebogang Phalula claimed victory with a finish time of 33.06 while Rutendo Nyahora came in second in 33.41 and Rene Kalmer was third with 33.49.
