EDITOR – On Saturday, 6 March a thief stole my neighbour’s cellphone. Members from the community stepped in and assisted and caught him and we are very grateful to them for the help. They flagged down a passing SAPS van to transport him to Umbilo Police Station.
Sergeant Ndlela was just going off shift, however they were short staffed at the police station and working under very trying conditions during the current renovations. Sergeant Ndlela stayed on and assisted with all the processing of documents required and did approximately two hours of extra work without any complaints.
He was totally professional throughout the entire process and was very friendly and helpful. The South African Police Force needs to be really proud of staff members like Sergeant Ndlela.
