Attacker should come forward, says Glenwood resident

The man who attacked dog walker, Wesley Chingwe, must come forward, be held accountable for his actions and should issue a formal apology to Wesley, says a reader.

EDITOR – I am absolutely horrified reading the front page article in last week’s Berea Mail regarding Wesley the dog walker’s assault entitled “Barking up the wrong tree”.

I cannot condemn this type of blatant racial profiling in our neighbourhood (and country) enough.

Citizens need to do better than this! The attack on Wesley needs to be dealt with appropriately and witnesses need to come forward.

The perpetrator must come forward, be held accountable for his actions and he should issue a formal apology to Wesley. He is not a Good Samaritan, not a hero, not an animal lover.

He is a criminal and his behaviour is not welcome in our neighbourhood.
