Parents worry about the future of our children

As parents we can't be sending our kids to further their studies only for them to be killed.

EDITOR – I’m so concerned about the alarming rate of students either being stabbed, shot at or committing suicide from the Durban University of Technology.

DUT is swimming in troubled waters and it needs every help it can get. As parents we can’t be sending our kids to further their studies only for them to be killed. I worry too much about the future of our children because they’re not safe even under thousand surveillance cameras and in the hands of security who are supposed to protect them.

Now sending your child to a university is essentially a gamble on your child’s life. DUT needs to do something, we cannot afford to lose our children like this. This takes me back to Mlungisi Madonsela issue, may his soul rest in peace, even now he didn’t get any justice. We will not sit back and watch history repeating itself. We demand nothing but justice for Sandile.
