Reward offered for missing cat

"He is not a stray - he is a huge part of our family and we are missing him so, so much."

EDITOR – I am offering a reward for the return of my cat, Sanchez which went missing from JB Marks Road.

He is nine months old and is neutered and microchipped. He disappeared from my house last week Wednesday night. I actually watched him leave via the window. He never came home on Thursday morning, which is unusual as he demands food six times a day.

Sanchez is our baby. He even has his own Facebook page and Twitter handle – #sanchezthecat – and my friends are missing our posts almost as much as I am missing my boy.

We have phoned and physically been to the SPCA. I have contacted all the local vets in the area (Durban Vet, Glenwood Vet, Umbilo Vet and Sherwood Vet) and I have pinned a post at the top of my page (Everything Glenwood). I am so desperate that I have even offered a R2 000 reward.

My daughter and I have dropped missing posters in the mailboxes of people around our house. I have contacted the feral feeding schemes, KittyCare Durban and even Brad Nathanson in an attempt to get him back. He is his dad’s boy, and my husband is trying to keep strong for me because I am an absolute mess. We have called and canvassed the area and I am convinced someone has taken him in and is feeding him.

He is not a stray – he is a huge part of our family and we are missing him so, so much.

If anyone has any information, they can call me on 074 619 3881.
