EDITOR – Every month our utility bill states we must do all we can to save water, but the municipality is not doing its bit.
Yesterday there was a water leak in our road, Shelley Place, which contractors were working on, but the hydrant at the end of the road was splurging water.

I asked the contractor if he could stop it by putting a stop corck on it or something, but he said he couldn’t.
I phoned the Water Department and asked if someone could go attend to this, but I was told to log a complaint and get a reference number.

There was too much water splurging out to even fill up buckets to use in my home.
It was spraying water for over three hours, surely there is something the municipality can do. We are doing our best to limit our water usage, but the corporation doesn’t seem to care!
