EDITOR – The residents of the Umbilo area would like to thank Lauren Walford and the Berea Mail for all the support regarding the trucks and the illegal container that was placed in the Umbilo area.
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank, on behalf of the community, Ward 33 councillor, Mmabatho Tembe, as well as Justice Dlamini, area manager (Southern Region) for assisting in removing the illegal hair salon container.
The community would also like to thank the two Metro Police officers that were in the area on Sunday, 23 October and were the ones who shut down the illegal business running from the container. Another thanks goes out to the tenants of Merilynn Court and Tilloch court, who signed the petition regarding the removal of the illegal container salon.
Fortunately, the container was impounded on 27 October.
