EDITOR – I want to commend the CSC commander and the members from Umbilo SAPS who attended a complaint last week in Teignmouth Road where I reside.
This is a block of flats. A recently widowed elderly lady contacted me telephonically as there was a domestic violence complaint next to her flat and she was terrified. They were hitting each other, and nearly throwing each other over the balcony. The caretaker is elderly too and could not handle the situation.
The police arrived in minutes after my phone call and handled the situation professionally. I was contacted by the complainant and thanked profusely – but the thanks must go to the members who took the call and those that responded.
Once again a huge thank you to Umbilo SAPS.
