EDITOR – Members of the DA, which included our Ward Councilor Nicole Graham, set up “stall” at Queensmead Mall last week Saturday 23 May.
I raised the question as to how and when the ongoing truck saga is going to end and the feedback from the councillor was that the process was being delayed due to the fact that there is currently no truck stop facility available for the drivers!
This was not the response I was expecting from the official opposition party. Does this mean that the truck drivers can use our neighborhood to park anywhere, anytime, sleep in their trucks, wash themselves (using a bucket, as was the case last week), urinate from their vehicles and dump all their litter onto the pavements at will?
Raised hopes and empty promises, once again!
