EDITOR – My cell phone was stolen from my work premises in Umbilo Road on Wednesday, 18 February just after tea time. My phone was under my desk on my PC box. I had closed the door but not locked it to look for some files for our manager.
When I got back to my reception area I saw a young man with a white T-shirt and black pants leaving in a hurry. I ran after him and screamed ,”Stop that man!” I noticed that he had an accomplice with him, also a young man with black pants and T-shirt.
Men from my office – Butler, Krishen and Mlungisi – ran after them. I went back to the office and phoned the police to report my phone stolen. I also phoned my husband to block the phone. About 10 minutes after this I was told my phone had been recovered.
Adrian Andrews from Chubb Security returned my phone to me without a scratch. Praise the Lord.
Adrian told me he noticed the two young men running and Butler giving chase, so he enquired as to what was going on.
He followed the taxi the two suspects jumped into to the Durban Christian Centre and got them as they jumped out of the taxi. A big thank you to Adrian Andrews from Chubb Security.
