God sent an angel

A reader thanks a man who helped prevent her from being robbed in Berea.

EDITOR – I thank God for sending an angel to warn me and keep me safe. On Tuesday 27 May I was helped by a man who stopped me from being robbed.

My husband told me that I must be careful as people are being robbed at the intersection of Botanic Gardens Road, outside DUT. I said I’d be safe because I can’t afford to be afraid – I work for God and need to travel by taxi sometimes.

On 27 May I had to go to hospital to pray for the sick. As I was going down Berea Road towards the pick up point for the South Beach taxi, a man stopped me and told me to be careful, as someone had just been robbed there. He asked me why I was walking alone and I said I had to use public transport sometimes and that I trust God to protect me.

The three robbers ran down to Berea Centre and went back up Berea Road to where we were standing at the bus stop. The man’s bus to Sydenham arrived and I said goodbye and ran in front of the bus and cars to the other side to get to the hospital.

I thank God for that man who prevented me from being robbed, I didn’t even thank him and I don’t even know his name. I just say thank you God for the angel that was there for me, God bless you richly.

Grateful

Glenwood
