EDITOR – I live in Umbilo and the constant state of traffic illegally parked outside the fast food outlets on Rick Turner Road is a major headache for me.
I have been delayed getting to work or picking up my daughter from school because of this flagrant disregard for the rules of the road by many vehicles with owners clearly too lazy to park somewhere legally and walk an extra few metres.
On Friday I was very disturbed as I drove past to see a bus of police officers parked on the pavement just outside Nando’s. I happened to have my camera with me so I even went back to take a picture.
If the police who are supposed to be controlling the actions of the lay people can't even obey basic road rules, how on earth can we expect people to comply?
