uMbilo Police nab suspect for drug dealing

After receiving a tip-off, uMbilo SAPS officers patrolling the area found crystal and methcathinone in a man’s house on Campbell Road.

ON Wednesday last week (January 17), a man suspected to have been dealing drugs in the uMbilo area, was apprehended by police after uMbilo SAPS officers found crystal and methcathinone in his home on Campbell Road.

According to uMbilo SAPS Captain Phumzile Makaula, an uMbilo SAPS police vehicle was patrolling the area.

“The officers received information about a man who was dealing in drugs in a house on Campbell Road. The police attended to the complaint and found a man fitting the same description. They searched the house and found crystal and methcathinone that the suspect was hiding in the shower,” said Makaula.

Makaula said the suspect was arrested, and police are investigating a case of dealing in drugs.

“We urge the community to continue supporting the police in the fight against crime,” said Makaula.
