Flash storm wreaks havoc in Durban

Durban journo, Nia Louw documented her journey to work this morning on the M13, capturing the damage that the brief but powerful storm left in its wake.

A FLASH storm in Durban last night resulted in numerous fallen trees due to last night’s strong winds and heavy rain.

 

The eThekwini Municipality released a statement on its Facebook page stating that teams from the City’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Unit had their hands full since the early hours of the morning clearing fallen trees.

“The team will be working round the clock to remove trees blocking various roads in affected parts of the city,” said the City in their statement.
