Yet another fatal shooting leaves one dead in Berea
A man in his 50s was declared dead on the scene of a shooting incident on Helen Joseph Road.
A MAN was shot and killed in the early hours of the morning today, Monday, July 31. This shooting incident occurred on Helen Joseph Road (Davenport Road) in Glenwood.
SAPS spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed that Umbilo police are investigating a case of murder following the incident.
“It is alleged that three armed men entered a business premises and fatally shot a 50-year-old man,” said Netshiunda.
The suspects fled the scene with stolen property.
“The victim was declared dead at the scene, and the suspects allegedly fled the scene with the victims’ firearms,” said Netshiunda.
This follows several recent shootings. A man was fatally shot in Greyville on Saturday, July 29 at 06:00. Seven people were gunned down on Victoria Street on Friday, July 28 at about 15:30.
