Catch a view from the inside of the Durban July and see what the competition designers are showcasing as well as the weird and extravagant fashion worn by eager attendees of the iconic event.
AFTER months of anticipation and preparation, the day of the 127th Hollywoodbets Durban July has finally arrived. The ‘Out of this World’ theme has already resulted in some spectacular fashion from the Young Designer Award competition, as well as the DFF Rising Stars Collection and Invited Designer Showcase shows.
And today, even more wonderful – and sometimes weird – outfits are sure to wow the crowds again with the Raceday Fashion Competitions. The Classic Racewear for Men and Women, Best Dressed Couple and the Exceptional Raceday Hat or Fascinator are open to the public with the hopefuls keen to catch the eye of the judges.

Each of the twelve races on the cards will be followed by fashion and entertainment on the various stages, culminating in the Ndlovu Youth Choir performing just before and after the main race and singing the National Anthem, and then Joss Austin and various DJs will guide the entertainment into the evening.
Although it is still early in the day, South Africans have shown up in their numbers to showcase extravagant fashion and come together for what is sure to be another epic Durban July. To get an inside look into who was spotted and in what, watch the video below.
