THE first chapter of the Freedom for Our Youth Foundation (FFOY) or Inkulueko Yentsha launched in Kwa-Zulu Natal on Youth Day, June 16 at Essenwood Park in Musgrave .
According to Sandy Papale, one of the national founders of the FFOY Foundation it is a South African organisation driven by a passion for uniting the youth towards the development and prosperity of South Africa.

“We are aiming at encouraging all the youth to participate in the economy of the country through areas of focus being education, music, tourism, sports wildlife and small business. We are aiming to provide knowledge and empowerment for the youth to exercise their freedom of choice,” he said.
The Youth Day event had something for everyone. The event included soccer games and development clinics that were conducted by past and current South African Premiere Soccer League (PSL) players from 1st Division KZN, together with members from FFOY. In addition, the organisation hosted informal rugby games and clinics that were conducted by local past and current rugby players and FFOY members.

This was followed by netball shoot-out competitions and basketball dunk competitions, and prizes were awarded for top scorers.
Music performers set the mood with tunes throughout the day as attendees strolled among a variety of 10 stalls, selling a range of different goodies.
