A Quantum Taxi was left stranded as a large sinkhole engulfed the rear wheel of the vehicle.

A LARGE sinkhole formed on Earl Haig Road, today, May 19, leaving a Quantum Taxi stranded.

Reports from the scene indicate that a water leak up the road led to the sinkhole.

A team of workers were on the scene, attending to the leak, when Berea Mail arrived, and the road had been cordoned off by SAPS.

The eThekwini Municipality was, however, not available to comment at the time this article was published.
