YET another life has been taken in a shooting incident in Berea after a man was shot to death in the Bulwer area of Berea this morning on JB Marks Road.
According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, ALS Paramedics, together with Netcare 911 Paramedics and SAPS, arrived at the scene just before 11:30 this morning. “ALS Paramedics, together with Netcare 911 Paramedics, responded to a call of a shooting incident that had occurred on JB Marks Road in the Berea area. On arrival, paramedics found a male believed to be in his thirties who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds,” said Jamieson.

Jamieson said that, unfortunately, there was nothing more that paramedics could do for the man, and he was declared deceased at the scene.
“The roadway has been closed off while SAPS have started their investigation process. At this stage, events leading up to the incident are unknown, however, SAPS will be investigating further,” concluded Jamieson.
This adds to a spate of shootings in the Berea area this year. Most notably, South African rapper, Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes was shot and killed on Florida Road in Morningside on February 10.
