The programme is empowering young women to be active citizens and engage in the protection of the place we get to call home, our Earth.
This is according to Catherine Constantinides, executive director of the programme who added that they are celebrating 20 years of celebrating Miss Earth South Africa.

“We are excited to get to know our new group of young women that will enter our leadership programme this year. By working with young women throughout the country, we are developing a generation of role models who take action on the ground and inspire lasting positive change in our communities,” she said.
“Environmental education and awareness are critical in combatting climate change and the legacy of the programme, which speaks for itself and is evident in the results of the many effective projects we have initiated over the last two decades,” continued Constantinides.
