GLENWOOD-BASED old-age home Mothwa Haven hosted a fundraising event that included a fashion show, pop-up market and live music on Saturday, April 22. According to the Mothwa Haven house manager Kas Naicker, the event was a huge success.
“We had a great response from our ex-members who had their parents at the Haven in the past. Families that now live abroad also donated tickets on behalf of their loved ones. They also donated towards the entrance fee for some of our current residents,” said Naicker.

Naicker said that the residents at Mothwa Haven thoroughly enjoyed the fundraising event. “They especially enjoyed the camaraderie and laughter. It was pure joy, and the snacks were delicious.”
The Mothwa Haven house manager says that the next event will be a night market with live entertainment – on June 30.
