Police search for family of John Doe found at North Beach

Police are searching for family members of an unidentified man found dead on North Beach.

A MAN, believed to be in his 30s, allegedly washed up on shore and was found dead at North Beach in the early hours of the morning on February 13. Police are now appealing to the community to come forwards with any information that can assist them in solving the case.

It is alleged that the man drowned at North Beach.

“Police are appealing to members of the community for assistance in locating relatives that might help to solve an inquest case. It is alleged that on February 13, at about 04:50, the body of an African male was washed out by the sea or drowned in front of North Beach,” said SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Zanele Khomo.

“The deceased is believed to be in his thirties. He has dreadlocks, gold teeth, and cross tattoos on his face,” added Khomo.
