Unwind at the Citadel summer-afternoon market

Glenwood creatives will be on show in and around the Glenwood Citadel for an afternoon pop-up market.

BROWSE, buy and soak up the atmosphere at the Citadel afternoon market coming up on Saturday, March 4.

Some of the wares for sale include biscuits, cards, pop art, CDs, books, antiques and collectables, face-painting, pre-worn clothing, table décor, baked goods, jams, pickles and preserves, soft toys, sweets, jewellery, and plants.

“The real community-building intention for hosting the Citadel Markets is to strategically empower small businesses and entrepreneurs by giving them the trading platform to sell their products,” said market facilitator Karen Brokensha.

“It is an opportunity for them to test the markets, to sharpen their trading skills, to improve their products, pricing and promotion, and in between markets, traders are encouraged to empower themselves in various elements of business from marketing, social media training, mentorship, finance and product development. The Citadel Glenwood has a 12-seater training space and a six-seater boardroom where traders can book for training as well as engage the services of local businessmen and women for expertise on how to better their businesses,” she continued.
