2 elders found dead in Morningside home – SAPS investigate

The grizzly discovery was made in the Morningside area.

POLICE have launched an investigation after two bodies were discovered in a Morningside home on Earl Haig Road on February 9.

SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala said the matter is still under investigation.

“Mayville police are investigating two counts of murder after two bodies of elderly people were found dead inside a house in Morningside,” said Gwala.

SAPS suspect that the elders were assaulted. It is unclear if the home was broken into, although Gwala said the door was not locked.
