Two men shot dead in CBD

The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage.

TWO men were shot and killed in the Durban Central Business District today, January 10 at approximately 16:00.

This according to Emer-G-Med Paramedics who responded to the scene of a shooting incident on Dr Yusuf Dadoo Street (Grey Street).

Spokesperson for Emer-G-Med Paramedics Kyle Van Reenen said, “On arrival on scene, two men, aged approximately 30 years old, were found with multiple gunshot wounds and were declared dead.”

“The motive for the shooting is unknown and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation,” added Van Reenen.

*Captain Muzi Maphumulo, spokesperson for Durban Central SAPS  confirmed the incident.

“There was a double murder along Grey Street this afternoon,” he said.

“No suspects have been arrested so far
Police are still investigating the matter. The cause of murder is not known as yet,” added Maphumulo.
