Berea has loads of festive markets in store for the weekend!
Here's a list of some of the markets happening this festive season in the Berea area.
BEREA is awash with markets this month-end weekend – many with a festive theme. Support local, and do some Christmas shopping and festive browsing at one of the markets in your neighbourhood this weekend and in the weeks leading to Christmas. Here are a few happening in the Berea area:
Christmas Tea and Mini Market
Musgrave Methodist Church: Saturday, November 26 – 13:00 till 16:00.
Join the ladies of Musgrave Methodist Church for a fabulous festive diversion – a little Saturday afternoon mini market; a demo on fabulous, festive décor ideas and what the best tables are wearing this summer; a fashion show featuring garments from Cabriclo Designs – a Durban-based women’s clothing label that has been in operation for close on 30 years. The emphasis has always been based on providing well-made garments with only local labour – made on-site in the Durban factory and sold mainly via smaller boutiques nationally. Tickets are R50. Citadel Summer Market
Port Natal Citadel: 455 Esther Roberts Road, Glenwood – Saturday, November 26 – 08:00 till 12:00.
The Glenwood creatives will be on show on Saturday in and around the Citadel. Some of the festive ware includes biscuits, cards, pop art, CDs and books, antiques and collectables, pre-worn clothing, table décor, baked goods, jams, pickles and preserves, gift ideas, soft toys, sweets, jewellery, music and plants. Night Fair: Christmas Edition
Presbyterian Church: 339 Esther Roberts – Friday at 17:00.
Glenwood Presbyterian will host a night market this Friday, 25 Nov, from 17:00. On offer will be wors rolls, biryani, sweet treats, hamburgers, cakes, books, jewellery and home goods, and the coffee shop will be open. For more information, call 031 205 3717.

Christmas Market
Stella, Glenwood – November 27
Another Glenwood community market – on the grounds at Stella. On offer will be goods by local crafters, fruit and veg, homemade breads, dressmaking and all the typical market fare. For more information, contact 081 446 2278.
