#BridalRebellion: Glenwood woman dons wedding dress to run errands

If you spotted Lara and Brenton Mills in Bulwer Park today, you might have thought they were having a bridal photoshoot.

‘ALL dressed up and nowhere to go’ is not a phrase in Lara Mills’ book.

Not only does she wear her wedding dress every year on her anniversary, September 16, but the fun-loving mom of two wears the special gown to run errands or go about her day.

Lara, who married her husband, Brenton, in 2000, started the quirky tradition in 2006.

“Whatever my mood, whatever the day is like, however sick I am or whatever the case is, on the day of my anniversary, I put the dress on,” said Mills.

After all, the gorgeous gown deserves a day out.

“You only get to wear this dress once. My dress was gifted to me by my brother as a wedding present, and I designed it myself – what is the point of only wearing the dress once?” said Mills.

We asked a few more questions in the video below. Mills tells us how she incorporates #Bridalrebellion into her anniversary day.
