Woman arrested in central Durban drug bust

Police discovered 21 clear plastic packets of 5-litre volume filled with cannabis.

A WOMAN, aged 42, was arrested in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday, September 14 during a SAPS patrol on Umgeni Road.  The woman is suspected to be a drug dealer after she was caught red-handed with a large quantity of cannabis in her possession.

“Police will leave no stone unturned in eradicating drug-dealing and criminal elements,” said spokesperson for Durban Central SAPS Captain Muzi Maphumulo.

According to Maphumulo, SAPS members were patrolling Umgeni Road when they spotted suspicious activity.
