Man plummets from Point Waterfront building

The man was resuscitated multiple times and handed over in a critical condition at a local hospital.

A MAN is fighting for his life after falling from the third floor of a Point Waterfront building on Saturday,  August 13 at about 21:00.

Kyle Van Reenen of Emer-G-Med Paramedics said Advanced Life Support intervention was needed to stabilise the man on the scene before being rushed to hospital.

“The patient was resuscitated multiple times and handed over in a critical condition,”  he said.

Van Reenen said Emer-G-Med Paramedics were called to a residential apartment building in Signal Road at 21:00.

“Reports from the scene are that a male approximately 30 years of age fell from the third story and was found in a critical condition.The facts surrounding the incident and the events preceeding it are unclear and will form the subject of a South African Police Services investigation,” concluded Van Reenen.
