One killed, two injured in taxi crash
Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the two badly damaged taxis.
A MAN in his 20s was killed and two other people were injured in a serious collision involving two taxis at the corner of Che Guevara (Moore) Road and Magwaza Maphalala (Gale ) Street just before 05:00 on Saturday, August 13.
Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedics responded to the scene.

Paramedics found that one of the drivers, a male believed to be in his twenties had sustained major injuries and there was nothing paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased at the scene,” said spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, Garrith Jamieson.
He said they arrived on the scene to find two badly damaged taxis which had collided in the intersection before one veered off the road.

“Two other occupants had sustained moderate to serious injuries and were stabilized on the scene before being transported to nearby hospitals,” said Jamieson.
The events leading up to the collision are currently unknown however SAPS will be investigating.
