FOUR people were left in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash on the N2 Highway’s northbound carriageway, near EB Cloete interchange, just after 03:00 on Sunday, July 31.
Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for Advanced Life Support Paramedics (ALS) Paramedics, said they responded to the scene to find ‘absolute carnage’.

“On arrival, paramedics found two females and one male, believed to be in their twenties, had been ejected from the vehicle when it was rolling. All three had sustained critical injuries, and Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise them on the scene before transporting them to various Durban Hospitals for the care that they required,” said Jamieson.
Paramedics found the vehicle overturned before coming to rest on its side after the driver collided with the barrier.
