Boxer launches its long-awaited rewards programme

THE wait is over – the Boxer Rewards Card is here! One of Africa’s largest supermarket groups, Boxer, has introduced its latest initiative which shows its loyalty to its customers.

The Boxer Rewards Card, which officially works from Monday, September 23, was unveiled last week Tuesday at the supermarket’s head office in Westville, Durban. Speaking at the launch, Boxer’s managing executive Marek Masojada said it took them about a year to put together this programme. “We are very excited to bring these value offerings to our customers. We are calling on the public at large to take advantage of the nine super benefits from this reward card,” he said.

He alluded that they are obsessed with their customers and giving them more ways to save. “This is proof. The success of this programme will be in its simplicity. Loyalty cards with slow-earning points are everywhere. Consumers know the game. They want transparent incentives, and that’s what we’re giving them,” Masojada added.

For customers who want to join the Boxer Rewards Club, they need to go into a nearby store to get a card then follow one of the three methods to activate it, including WhatsApp, USSD and the Boxer App.

Jason McCall of Boxer Group said this card gives customers more value when they shop. He explained: “With the Boxer Rewards Card, customers earn B rewards and free airtime and much more. 1 B reward = 1 rand accumulated in the customer’s B rewards app for them to use on their next shop or as stipulated.”
