The experiment comes as a result of a long partnership between DUT and Prof Dr Thomas Schmidt from Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany, an expert in the informal economy, micro-entrepreneurship and business informatics. International student relations officer Philiswa Mncube said, ”This programme will not only contribute to the academic growth of participants but also serve as a catalyst for meaningful cultural exchange. We will explore the rich economic tapestry of Durban, creating lasting connections and fostering a deeper appreciation for the diversity of global economic systems. The DUT Intercultural Week is also going to be a platform where knowledge meets culture and learning extends beyond borders,” she said.
