South African Association of Marine and Biological Research ready for first beach clean-up

Join the SAAMBR team and Thandi the Turtle as they host their first beach clean-up of the year.

THE South African Association of Marine and Biological Research (SAAMBR) has announced their first beach clean-up of the year set to take place on February 10, at uShaka Beach from 08:00 to 10:00.

SAAMBR says the aim of this beach clean-up is to remove anything that does not belong in the sea, such as nurdles, plastic and anything that could be harmful to marine life.

Everyone is welcome to join in and meet Thandi the Turtle, and the public is urged to bring their own hats, gloves and sunscreen.
