THE back-to-school rush has come to an end with coastal schools heading back to school this week. It is a day of tears, excitement, new friendships and new surroundings for some.
With their book bags and stationery in tow, learners were sent off by their parents and warmly welcomed by teachers as they walked into school, ready to take on another year. There was a flurry of activity as learners excitedly headed to their new classrooms, to meet their new teachers, make new friends and most importantly, to start learning!
Berea Mail headed to local schools to capture Grade One learners on their first day of primary school and returning students as they head off to a new grade.
