Celebrate World Vision Board Day by creating your own vision board

January 13th is World Vision Board Day, and what better way to celebrate it than creating your own vision board? Vision boards help you keep your dreams on track.

WE all have so many hopes for the year ahead and wish to achieve all that we couldn’t achieve in the previous year. But, as the adrenalin of the new year wears down, and your burnt-out self starts to reappear, we often forget or lose hope of all the things we had planned to achieve or do in the year.

January 13 is World Vision Board Day, so let’s take advantage of the day and create vision boards that resonate with us and align with our dreams but also help us manifest and attract all that we want and hope for because, yes, the Law of Attraction is a thing – some people follow it and purport that they benefit from it.

The Law of Attraction: The energy of your thoughts manifests your experiences. So positive thoughts manifest positive experiences. The Law of Attraction is based on the belief that thoughts are a form of energy and that positive energy attracts success in all areas of life, including health, finances and relationships.

So, what is a vision board?

Vision boards are a collection of images and objects arranged in a way that encourages you to manifest your goals and aspirations. Vision boards can be physical or digital – on a piece of paper, cardboard, canvas or any material or on your device. They can be used for things like your personal goals and professional goals or where you see yourself in the next five years. Or you can simply get in the habit of doing vision boards yearly.

Location! Location! Location!

Where you put up your vision board is important. Hang your vision board where you will see it every day. That can be next to your mirror, on your dressing table or your side table – anywhere that will be right in front of you to remind you of what you are aiming for, and if you believe in the Law of Attraction, seeing it often will help you manifest your dreams by focusing your thoughts on good things.

What to put on your vision board

Create templates with cardboard.

In the vision board universe, the world is your oyster. You can put anything you want on your vision board, but for an easy start, add pictures – pictures of things you want to achieve and pictures of things that inspire you, that make you feel great about yourself.

Whip out those cursive skills

Handwrite your favourite quotes, your favourite verse or that line you heard from a movie or read from a book that resonates with you so much. Draw them in calligraphy if you can, but do anything that will make your vision board appealing. If writing is not your thing, then print them out, but adding affirmations and quotes on your board adds to the inspiration you may need on the days you don’t see your dreams coming true.

Bring out those sentimental objects

Vision boards may contain items that are of sentimental value or hold special memories for you, and they can help remind you of your dreams.

 Arrange your materials

Your layout should inspire you, so take your time thinking about where each picture should go. Play around with different layouts. This process will help you develop a clear, more detailed vision for your future.
