August 31

Charley’s Aunt

The hilarious classic evergreen farce, Charley’s Aunt, will be performing at Westville Theatre Club from Thursday, August 31.

Set in Oxford during the 1890s, the imminent visit of Charles Wykeham’s millionaire aunt from Brazil, Donna Lucia, provides an excuse for Charles and Jack to invite their young ladies to meet the aunt so she can be their chaperone for their marriage proposals.

The production runs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from August 31 to Saturday, September 16 at 19:00. There are two Sunday matinees on September 3 and 10 at 14:30. Tickets are R100 per person – R80 for members/pensioners/students.

To book, contact Dorothy on 083 776 1754 or dorothyannoneill@gmail.com.

JOMBA!

Two dance makers from KwaZulu-Natal, Marcia Mzindle and Lorin Sookool, will feature in the JOMBA! ON THE EDGE platform of the 25th JOMBA! Contemporary Dance Experience, taking place at venues around Durban from August 29 to September 10.
