3 enjoyable activities for the June holidays

Here are three activities to do with the children this winter holiday.

THE June school holiday is something that the children really look forward to – a nice long break from early mornings, homework and routine.
Often, if activities aren’t planned, it means they may be left with not much to do but binge-watch series and finish a month’s worth of snacks in a few days!
Parents, fear not. With these fun events taking place over the holidays, that’s something you don’t need to worry about.
Biker boys and girls
Cornubia Mall’s annual Zoot n Scoot takes place at the mall on Saturday, July 8 from 08:00 to 10:00. The cost is R85 per person or R100 for late entries. The event is open to children from ages one to 10. All entrants will receive a goodie bag. For more information, visit www.cornubiamall.co.za. Ts & Cs apply.

Playtime
Discover the magical world of interactive entertainment at the Melissa & Doug Play Space situated at the East Coast Radio House and Garden Show at the Durban Exhibition Centre from July 1 to 9. This will spark your child’s curiosity and get their imaginations going through play with popular toys, exciting games and educational activities. Fun tour

Durban Walking Tours has a fun activity tour planned for the children on June 27 and 29.
The four-hour guided tour will take you and your little ones on a captivating journey through Durban’s most fascinating attractions, such as the Durban Botanical Gardens, a ride on the People Mover bus to the Durban Natural Science Museum, and the picturesque Point Canals for a boat ride. The tour entails 3km of slow walking and is perfect for children aged four and older.
Tickets cost R220 per child and adult. To book your spot, email info@durbanwalkingtours.co.za.
