With the summer holidays and festive season being the best time of the year to spend with loved ones, The Pavilion Shopping Centre says it is also a time for gratitude and giving. With this in mind, The Pav is presenting a fabulous programme to celebrate this time of the year with everyone.

As holiday traditions have always been an important aspect of building strong bonds between families and the community for The Pav, its mandate is not just to celebrate the community, but to also support them. Therefore, they have loads of activities to keep you and your family entertained over the festive holidays – so do read on to get your festive spirit titillated.

The Candy Cane Christmas Village Market is a must for all. It will be presented undercover in Parking B (outside Entrance 5) where local vendors will sell festive décor, artisanal homemade gifts and crafts, and so much more. There’ll also be a festive light experience at the market, plus a kiddies play zone, live music and plenty of food and refreshments to enjoy while you are shopping or browsing. Enjoy this market and entertainment for only R60 per person from 5pm – 10pm from December 15 – 23.

Throughout the year The Pav has supported many initiatives and now, during the festive season, they have partnered with the St Martin’s Children’s Home. Volunteers from St Martin’s will gift wrap your presents and will be selling personalised baubles to make your gift extra special. All proceeds will go towards St Martin’s Children’s Home.

To add a bit more festive excitement, Dingo’s Wild Creatures will be coming to you live at The Pavilion Shopping Centre in the Food Court area. Conservationist and YouTube sensation, Dingo Dinkelman, has put together an interactive and entertaining exhibition for the whole family. Dingo’s Wild Creatures include some of the most iconic snakes, spiders and other critters –  an experience the whole family will enjoy and remember, especially the “tunnel of fear” for just R60 per person.

Working late? No worries, The Pav has you covered. Extended shopping hours will be introduced from December 16 to 23, when all stores will only close at 10pm so you can still get all your festive shopping done for your loved ones. December 24, 26 & 31 stores will close at 7pm. Now you have every excuse to shop until you drop.

And last but not least, what would the season be without having a photo taken with Santa to add to your mantelpiece? Of course, The Pav’s Santa is dying to meet you all and hear if you have been a good boy or girl this year.

To find out more, visit The Pavilion on Facebook and Instagram and go enjoy the festive family entertainment and programme that The Pav has lined-up.
