Oxford Vinatix Wine Club hosts first tasting event
Oxford Liquourmarket invited their wine club members to a tasting event in Hillcrest.
OXFORD Vinatix Wine Club hosted their inaugural wine-tasting event on August 30, at Oxford Liquormarket in Hillcrest.
The Oxford team welcomed the wine club members and representatives from several estates to sample the latest vintages on the market.
Wine enthusiasts enjoyed offerings from Alto Rouge, Spier, Bon Courage, De Krans, Krone, Robertson, Fat Bastard, Darling, Murati, Constantia Glen and Glenelly.

Oxford executive creative and marketing director Patrick Hyland said, “The Oxford Vinatix Wine Club was started to give the Upper Highway area an opportunity to taste top wines from leading South African estates and winemakers. The last few years have seen far fewer of these types of events, certainly in the Upper Highway suburbs. As Oxford, we thought it was time to get excited about wine all over again. It seems that residents agreed with us as we had an exceptionally good turnout, despite it being a chilly Hillcrest evening. Some truly great red wines certainly warmed things up.”

The Oxford Liquormarket team is also planning on taking the Oxford Vinatix club on the road, offering tastings in the estates and complexes of the Upper Highway area, and expanding their tasting events to include gin, whisky and craft rums.
