Dr Alison Misselhorn, executive director of PPSA, said the trip offers participants an opportunity to grow their leadership skills.

“Through dedicated funding support from the Ed and Penelope Peskowitz Foundation, PPSA is thrilled to be taking a group of young South Africans to Israel to participate in the Friendship Games. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and will provide participants with incredible learning as well as network opportunities. Twenty youth were selected based on a number of criteria, including time in the programme and participation levels,” she said.
