WIN: 100 tickets up for grabs ahead of horse-racing series

There are three sets of tickets up for grabs per week – each set includes four tickets – ideal for a family or group of friends.

CAXTON Local Media readers stand a chance to win one of 100 tickets to an exciting new horse-racing series hosted by Global Team Horse Racing (GTH).

The first GTH Live Series debuts on August 5 at the Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse in Durban. Packed with excitement for fans of all ages, the series will be run on Friday evenings over four weeks. The two-hour events will be full of thrilling races and gripping entertainment, and there will be a children’s area for the younger fans – all set right at the trackside.

Three teams go head to head during the series, but only one team can come out top. Watch the KwaZulu Royals take on the Gauteng Gijimaz at the first event of the series on August 5.  The following week, on August 12, the KwaZulu Royals will go up against the Cape Stingers.  Next, the Cape Stingers take on the Gauteng Gijimaz on August 19. The combined results will determine who makes the final showdown on September 2.

The races will be called by two horse-racing legends, Neil Andrews and Graeme Hawkins. Andrews has long been a part of the SuperSport team, and his knowledge, insights and humour have kept audiences entertained for years. Hawkins has been involved in horse racing his whole life as a punter, owner, bilingual race-caller, racing journalist, television presenter, auctioneer, track expert, race programme planner, pedigree researcher, marketer, salesman and administrator.

Radio host Alex Caige; Mzanzi actress, Hope Mbhele; TV and radio presenter Kriya Gangiah, and entertainer,Tee Xaba join the star-studded line-up. Ticket prices start at R100 for general access. Children under 14 enter free of charge. Gates open at 17:00, and the action starts at 18:00, condensed to finish by 20:30.

Caxton Local Media, in partnership with GTH, has a total of 96 tickets to give away. Tickets are awarded in sets of four tickets – for a family or group of friends to enjoy. There are several sets of tickets up for grabs per week. Winners will need to collect their tickets from The Highway Mail offices in New Germany. Entries close on 25th July 2022.
