Support the CAST and Highway Mail Car-Boot Sale taking place on Saturday, 28 May from 08:00 to 12:30. The community newspaper and the non-profit organisation are focused on breaking the cycle of poverty in Africa. Everyone is invited – there will be items sold at bargain prices, delicious food on sale and exciting prizes to be won throughout the day. Don’t miss out!

 

Make Pinetown Beautiful

GEAR up for this weekend’s Make Pinetown Beautiful clean-up. The clean-up commences at 08:00 on Saturday morning, May 28 at Sandy’s Centre’s adjacent fields. “We will form groups and target affected areas that desperately need to be cleaned up,” said Cowie’s Hill resident Zane Welensky. “Bring your gloves, sturdy footwear, Dad’s old tongs, plastic municipal bags and, of course, a willingness to join something of great value,” said Welensky.

Be part of the biggest little show in KZN

THE public is invited to the biggest little show which will be held at the Westville Country Club on Saturday, 28 May from 09:00 to 16:00. The World of Miniatures Fair, hosted by The Durban Association of Miniature Enthusiasts, will show off scale models, fairy gardens, fairy houses, model trains, bonsai and dollhouses. There will be 24 enthusiastic stallholders. All Covid-19 protocols will be adhered to. Entrance is R10, and funds raised this year will go to Grace 4 Babies, a non-profit organisation in Queensburgh which helps new mothers with products for their babies. Join Africa Month celebrations

Celebrate diversity and Africa Month in style at JR’s Braaihouse this weekend. There will be an African market, African music, African food and networking. Entry is free; for bookings to attend or to display your products at the African Market on Saturday, contact 081 724 5007.
