Four Bee products to give your home a buzz

We think these products are the bee's knees.

FROM eco-friendly beeswax wrapping to guilt-free sweet treats, bee products add a buzz to the home. As World Bee Day is celebrated on May 20, we found four products made from beeswax or honey.

  1. Beeswax wraps

Ditch the plastic with these wraps made from fabric coated with beeswax. These are great for storing leftovers in the fridge or packing a sandwich to eat on the run. By cutting back on plastic, you might just be helping the bees, as well.

2. Honey

The best-known bee product is, of course, honey. While honey makes a great sweetener for anyone looking to cut back on sugar consumption, it also has immune-boosting properties that could keep sickness at bay.

3. Skincare products

Beeswax and honey are also used in skincare products and lip balms. Beeswax is known as a humectant as it attracts water, helping to keep skin hydrated. It also creates a protective layer on the skin.

4. Beeswax candles

Another beeswax product comes in the form of candles. It is said that beeswax burns longer than paraffin, making these candles a long-lasting option. Beeswax candles are also thought to produce less wax drip, making it easier to keep things tidy. These candles also contain less toxins, keeping the air cleaner.
