SAPS recover drugs and cash in Umbilo

Rock cocaine and heroin was seized during the operation.

POLICE recovered more than R10k in drugs and cash, arresting ten suspects across Ntuzuma, Sydenham and Umbilo.

According to Durban central spokesperson, Captain Muzi Maphumulo, drugs to the value of R5940 and R4700 in cash was siezed by Ethekwini District Members during a distruptive operation on Saturday, May 7.

“The members arrested the suspects for dealing in drugs (rock cocaine), possession of heroin and illegal trading of liquor,” said Maphumulo.

Liquor was also confiscated during the operation.
